Baby poop everywhere? Lots of patience. Allowing the kids to play in dry rice and beans in the kitchen? Anytime. Wearing your superhero costumes everywhere? Sure thing.
But KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, oh how I hate thee.
These things have become a staple at every meal. At best they are silly, at worst they are disgusting, and have many shades in between. Trust me when I say, they are rarely funny. Mostly they are stupid and drive me crazy. Why do they annoy me so badly? That I don't know but here are a couple of typical ones that I endured during dinner tonight. (Oh, and they refuse to tell them to anyone other than me. How sweet.)
Knock knock.
Who's there?
Poopy tooty.
Poopy tooty who?
Poopy tooty blah blu blooty.
Knock knock.
Who's there?
(After much looking around, trying to think of something, sees our fruit bowl.) Oranges.
Oranges who?
I want to eat some oranges.
Knock knock.
Who's there?
Flip flops.
Flip flops who?
Flip flops go on your shlip shlops.
See, you're starting to go crazy too, huh?

I feel your pain. You know I love everything about my grandbabies. They are perfect creatures in my eyes and I defy anybody to disagree with me and and remain in a standing position. HOWEVER, I hate to admit it but the "knock knock" jokes do nothing for me either. I would, by far, rather clean up after the bins of rice with spoons come out.
You know what the funniest part of my last comment discussing the much loathed "knock knock' jokes was. The word verification I had to type in was "Damion". Seems about right.
Oh my gosh! Actually, at this point I'm not annoyed, I just think it's hilarious and I'm laughing my butt off!
I don't know about you, but I can't stand potty humor! I draw my line there.
